Canopy & Hanging Bridges Tour in Monteverde

Approx. 4 hours

Monteverde

TRIP DETAILS

In Costa Rica, Monteverde pioneered these wonderful suspension bridge tours, with the introduction of the walk, to admire the forest from unique points of view. In our tour, we use trails and a series of bridge pendants for a more relaxing introduction to the flora and fauna of the forest canopy. It allows a view of the forest from a different perspective, starting with a walk on the ground, and then takes you to explore treetops, an almost bare habitat called “canopy” With a naturalist guide. 90% of the organisms in the forest live at the top of their trees. Our local guides will teach visitors in each route the species of plants and animals native to the area.

Then, a zip-line adventure is waiting for you.  The only zip-line tour built entirely inside the cloud forest. In this tour, visitors cross through the unique cloud forest canopy suspended over the forest while attached to high-weight-capacity cables and using specialized climbing gear. This provides wonderful experiences and sensations only comparable to flying through the forest. This tour not only combines the thrill of one of Costa Rica’s most safe and popular adventures but also provides a unique vantage point of the cloud forest which in the past was reserved only for certain scientists brave enough to climb up to the forest canopy.
