4.5 Hour Twilight River Float Boat and Riverside BBQ

The Peñas Blancas Twilight Safari Float is the perfect spot to hear the sounds of wildlife with family or friends. The Long-Nosed Bat, monkeys, caimans, iguanas, birds, and owls all reside along the banks of the Peñas Blancas River, and nature lovers of all ages will love this tour.After a short drive from La Fortuna to the river dock, your guide will take you on a two-hour float down the Peñas Blancas, sharing his knowledge and telling the history of the area.

After the river trip ends, guests will enjoy a delicious riverside BBQ picnic at the river takeout at the home of Dona Mila and her husband Chupeta.

Dona Mila and Chupeta have lived on the banks of the Penas Blancas for years and they have opened up their home to create a place where everyone can relax and enjoy great food together in a beautiful riverside setting. Prepared in authentic San Carleños style,  our riverside BBQ dinner is grilled to perfection on the patio with our signature blend of seasonings and spices. Each plate is served up with all the sides: corn, grilled vegetables, a garden salad, and a glass of locally crafted beer or wine.
